Overwhelmed? Swim, Don't Sink
Are you remembering all those projects you told yourself you would finish throughout the summer and starting to feel out of control now that summer is winding down and they aren't finished? When we feel overwhelmed, we often shut down, do nothing, procrastinate, and distract ourselves. Then we feel even more overwhelmed. When you feel this way, don't look at the big picture. Instead, think of something small you can do today or accomplish the first step of the most important thing you are concerned about. Do that on a daily basis and dig yourself out of the hole you have found yourself in.
